Lunch Club

Our Lunch Club runs Monday to Thursday and offers a warm, welcoming space for anyone in the local community to enjoy a nutritious meal and good company.

More than just a meal, the Lunch Club is a chance to come together, catch up with others and be part of a friendly and supportive environment. For many, it’s an important part of the week, offering not only a hot, freshly prepared meal but also the opportunity to socialise, make new connections and feel part of the community.

Alongside lunch, there are often opportunities to take part in light activities or simply enjoy conversation in a relaxed setting. Whether you come along regularly or are visiting for the first time, you’ll always be made to feel welcome.

Everyone is welcome, and there is no referral required, just come along and join us.

SERVING TIMES AND COST

Lunch is served Monday to Thursday from 12.15pm to 1.15pm.

Meals are £4.50, or £2.50 for carers. You can also purchase a meal card from reception for £20, which provides 5 meals.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Each meal includes soup and a dessert, alongside a hearty main course. There are also lighter options available such as toasties or baked potatoes.

Our menus change regularly, but typical meals include favourites such as macaroni cheese, spaghetti bolognese, sausage casserole, pork chops, stovies, and fish and chips.

HOW IT WORKS

Our Lunch Club is supported by a dedicated team of volunteers who kindly give their time to help prepare meals, serve customers and create a welcoming environment for everyone. We are incredibly grateful for their contribution, and we ask all visitors to be patient and treat both staff and volunteers with kindness and respect.

We work with available and donated food wherever possible, which means our menus can vary from day to day. This helps us reduce food waste while still providing high-quality, home-cooked meals for the community.

We are committed to minimising waste across the centre, and any surplus is managed responsibly, including through our composting initiatives which support our community garden.
