Room hire

Our spaces are available for community use, and we welcome enquiries from local groups, organisations and individuals who are looking for a friendly and accessible venue.

If you are interested in hiring one of our rooms, please complete our booking form or contact us at info@boomerang.org.uk to discuss your requirements.

As a charity, we ask for a suggested donation for room hire rather than a fixed fee. These contributions help us to cover the day-to-day running of the centre, including utilities, refreshments, and the upkeep of our building. Every donation directly supports the work we do within the local community.

We aim to keep our spaces as accessible as possible and are happy to have a conversation about your needs, particularly for community groups or activities that align with our values.

Please note that all bookings are provisional until confirmed by Boomerang, and all hirers are required to agree to and abide by our Terms and Conditions.

 

 

 

What’s Included:

Our rooms are flexible and suitable for a range of activities, from meetings to community events. The following equipment is available as part of your booking:

Tables

10 rectangular 6ft tables (seating approximately 6–8 people each)

5 Round tables (seating approximately 4–6 people each)

Chairs

Up to 70 stackable chairs available

Room Set-Up

Tables and chairs will be set up by hirers to suit their event. At the end of your booking, all furniture must be returned to the designated storage areas.

Additional Items (by request)

The following can be provided if requested in advance via the booking form. A suggested donation applies:

• Cups and saucers

• Microwave

• Bluetooth speaker

Kitchen Access

Access to the kitchen, stove and oven is not included as part of room hire.
If kitchen use is required, this may be possible with staff support.
Please include details in your booking form and we will discuss this with you.

Please note that guest WiFi is not currently available.

Good To Know Before You Book

 

To help your booking run smoothly, please take a moment to read the following:

 

Bookings and Confirmation
All bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until agreed by a member of the Boomerang team.

 

Set-Up and Timing
Your booking time should include set-up and clear-up. Hirers are responsible for setting up their space and returning all furniture to storage areas at the end of their booking.

Cleaning and Waste
Please leave the space clean and tidy, and return it to the condition you found it in. Bins are available for use, but all waste must be disposed of appropriately and not left within the centre.

 

Capacity
Our building has a maximum capacity of 100 people. Depending on the nature of your activity, lower limits may apply and will be discussed as part of your booking.

 

Safety and Responsibility
The named contact for the booking is responsible for all attendees during the hire period, including supervision and evacuation in the event of an emergency.

 

Safeguarding
Hirers are responsible for ensuring appropriate safeguarding measures are in place where activities involve children or vulnerable adults.

 

Insurance and Activities
Some activities require additional insurance and/or risk assessments (for example fitness classes, workshops, or group activities). Please include details in your booking form so we can advise.

 

Use of the Space
Please respect the building and its facilities. Decorations must not be fixed to walls, and no alterations should be made without prior agreement.

 

Food, Drink and Substances
Access to the kitchen, stove and oven is not included as part of room hire.
If kitchen use is required, this may be possible with staff support.
Please include details in your booking form and we will discuss this with you.Alcohol and recreational substances are not permitted anywhere on the premises.

 

Evening Use
If your booking takes place in the evening, particularly after 8pm, we kindly ask that you are mindful of our neighbours and keep noise to a respectful level when entering and leaving the building.

 

Cancellations
Bookings can be cancelled up to 7 days in advance without charge. After this time, a charge may apply.

 

Access and Keys
For out-of-hours bookings, key collection will be arranged in advance. Hirers are responsible for the safe return of any keys issued.
