Youth Work

Our Youth Groups provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for young people to come together, have fun and be themselves.

We offer a range of sessions throughout the week, giving young people the opportunity to take part in creative activities, games and group sessions in a relaxed and supportive environment. Whether it’s art, crafts, group games or simply spending time with friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Our sessions are led by experienced and supportive staff who are there to encourage participation, build confidence and ensure that all young people feel comfortable and included. We aim to create a space where young people feel listened to, valued and able to express themselves.

As well as providing a place to socialise, our youth groups help to build confidence, develop new skills and strengthen connections within the community.

Whether coming along for the first time or already part of the group, everyone is welcome.

GAMES GROUP

Wednesday, 3.30pm to 5pm

A relaxed session where young people can enjoy board games, group games and technology in a fun, social setting.

ART GROUP

Friday, 3.30pm to 5pm

A creative space to explore art, crafts and imaginative activities, with opportunities to try new things and develop skills.

HOW IT WORKS

Youth sessions are free to attend and run on a drop-in basis, so there’s no need to book, just come along.

Parents and carers are asked to drop off and collect young people at the start and end of each session. During sessions, young people are not permitted to leave the building unless collected by a parent or carer.

A snack is provided part-way through each session.

To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all, we do not allow additional adult visitors during youth group sessions.

Our sessions are supported by a team of dedicated volunteers who are reference checked, PVG certified and supervised by a member of staff. All appropriate safeguarding measures are in place, and the wellbeing and safety of young people is always our priority.

DONATIONS

We welcome donations to support our youth groups. If you are able to contribute, we are always grateful for:
• Board games and technology (in good working order and complete)

• Arts and crafts materials

• Snacks for sessions
• School uniforms & supplies for distribution

These donations help us to keep sessions engaging, varied and accessible for all young people.

Throughout the year, we also hold seasonal parties at Easter, Halloween and Christmas. Donations of Easter eggs, selection boxes and sweets are always very much appreciated and help us to make these events extra special for the young people who attend.
All donations can be dropped off at reception during opening hours.
